Gordon: ''We have high expectations''

One of those key leaders is point guard Alex Gordon, who started last season and unselfishly learned to become a "pass-first" point guard that Coach Kevin Stallings wanted.

Gordon says that, in spite of some heavy losses from a year ago, there are high expectations for this team. Gordon addressed those expectations, along with many other things, to the media just before preseason practice started.

"We lost 'DB' but we're going to miss him a lot. But we also added some pretty good players. We added a lot of freshmen which are pretty good wings. We added A.J. Ogilvy, and he's just great all-around.

"Jermaine Beal is doing great. He's an experienced player who got some experience and got better towards the end of last year. So, we've still got a pretty good bunch."
